Golf Simulator News Roundup — June 2026
June 2026 was, once again, a software-and-business month rather than a hardware one. There were no genuinely new launch monitors released during the month — most of the units making headlines were January PGA Show announcements still working through their rollout. Instead, the action was in venue expansion, a high-profile USGA simulator activation, a steady run of app and firmware updates, and the most anticipated affordable camera unit of the year slipping its shipping window by a month.

Five Iron Golf opened its largest U.S. venue to date — a 30,000 sq ft flagship at The Plaza Coral Gables, and its first location in Florida. It continues the company's push to anchor large eatertainment venues around Trackman simulator bays, following its May expansion into continental Europe.

GOLFZON Serves as Official Indoor Simulator of the U.S. Open (June 18-21)
GOLFZON appeared at the 126th U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills (June 18-21) and the U.S. Women's Open as the USGA's Official Indoor Golf Simulator, part of a multi-year partnership. The on-site activations — a closest-to-the-hole challenge, a longest-drive station, and a play-the-17th experience — ran on GOLFZON's TwoVision NX units with a motion plate that tilts through 64 directions to mimic uneven lies. It is one of the more visible mainstream-golf placements a simulator brand has secured.

GSPro v3.2.46 Public Beta Adds Square Omni Support (June 24)
GSPro released public beta v3.2.46 on June 24, headlined by support for the Square Golf Omni launch monitor. The build also adds dynamic divots and tee marks, weekly challenges, and handicap synchronization with the GSPro Cloud. As a beta it is opt-in ahead of a stable release; the Square Omni support is notable given that unit's own broad launch is still pending.

ProTee Labs Refines Club-Data AI (June 16)
ProTee Labs — the software for ProTee United hardware, including the VX launch monitor — shipped an update around June 16 focused on measurement accuracy. Changes included improved AI models for club data (angle of attack, lie and spin readings), reduced spin variance, and better connection stability in Birrdi mode. Note this is ProTee Labs, not the separately-announced ProTee GolfCore (Unreal Engine 5) simulator, which has still not shipped.

FlightScope Ships FS Golf App and PC Updates (June 2 & 4)
FlightScope pushed a round of FS Golf updates in early June: the Windows PC app reached v25.4.0 on June 2, with iOS (v9.6.0) and Android (v8.6.6) following on June 4. The releases cover the Mevo+, Mevo Gen2 and X3C across the lineup. These are maintenance-grade updates rather than headline features, but they keep the cross-platform apps in sync.

Square Golf Omni Broad Shipping Slips from June to July
The Square Golf Omni ($1,599 — four-camera photometric, no subscription) was expected to begin broad consumer shipping in June, per the timeline flagged in our May roundup. As of late June it had not: major retailers including PlayBetter still list it as a pre-order with a July 2026 estimate and a refundable $50 deposit, and warn that early stock will be very limited. There are still no independent owner accuracy reports — only early reviewer impressions — so the unit's real-world verdict remains open.
